Racing SeaCraft Stock Boats

Ocean racing proved many times over, to be a tough sport.  Tough on the boats, engines, equipment and driver's too.  Boats with hulls that broke apart, engines blown, compasses that busted, batteries became dislodged, fuel tanks cracked and leaked and many broken or bruised ribs, all a result of spending hours getting pounded by nature's winds and waves crossing many miles of open waters.  But this was ocean racing and it was exciting.

Si-Vad's First Race

The new VDR hull design was built to test in the Miami-Nassau race in 1961.  Even though not finishing at the top due to engine problems, the boat performed better than Carl's expectations.
